Multi-national insurance company seeks to appoint a Lead Developer / Web Application Developer to play a key role in the development of a range of insurance applications, a mixture of web based apps and mobile applications.

Working within the Global Projects Development team you use your experience as a Lead Developer / Senior Developer to deliver solutions across all aspects of the commercial and personal lines business. You will work closely with Solutions Architects, build prototypes and POCs and then Lead Development within a small team of permanent and contract Web Application Developers.

You will undertake core back-end development activities including design and development, programming with C#, MVC with multiple datasources including SQL, JSON and XML. All development will be undertaken within RESTful API Microservices architecture and will incorporate front end functionality into server side programming utilising HTML, CSS, Angular.js, Node.js all built to mobile responsive standards utilising Bootstrap (Web Apps) along with the Mobile Apps themselves. The development activities will be undertaken within a DevOps approach (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes) into both the AWS and Azure cloud environment.

We are searching for a core C# Developer who has worked in a Lead Developer / Senior Developer / Solution Architect position where you have delivered both web applications and mobile apps using a mix of technologies but integrating Javascript frameworks Angular.js and Node.js. You will be self-motivated, well organised, able to communicate with both business users at a senior level as leading other C# developers onshore and offshore.

You will have developed RESTful APIs and/or Micro-services at some point and have an understanding of design patterns. Degree level education required. Experience gained in any industry can be considered: media, content delivery, insurance, financial services, consultancy, banking etc,.
