Location: Milton Keynes Contract Period: January 2019 - March 2019 Clearance Level: SC 

 

Background and Scope: A first delivery of a ground-breaking system to deliver a new Integrated Network Model of Track Assets for Network Rail has been successfully completed, and a 2nd Release together with incremental enhancements has been initiated with a project delivery to be completed before the end of ORBIS CP5 in March 2019. The role is to manage the testing cycles and transition into production operation for the multiple releases associated with this project delivery. This will be achieved through close cooperation with the INM Project Manager and the technical development team together with liaison with the Network Rail test assurance and implementation teams. This is a multi-faceted role, taking the leadership for the system testing and transition of the INM deliveries into production operation and through to a successful completion of Early Life Support (ELS) and handover to Network Rail BAU (Business As Usual) teams for ongoing operational management. Full familiarisation with the Network Rail Test Assurance processes and Transition processes from development through to operational handover are required by the candidate and critical to the successful delivery of this project.

Requirements of Candidate:                                        Manage overall test plan and resources for delivery                         

                Hands on engagement with all phases of testing (including SIT, UAT, OAT, Performance Testing) and responsible for preparation or test reports                         

                Management of defect recording and resolution of issues identified                         

                Set up and manage triage sessions during Early Life Support period after production deployment                         

                Understanding and experience of engaging with Network Rail Test Assurance processes                         

                Understanding of Network Rail project implementation processes and transition management into live production operation                         

                Successful track record in delivery of complex business applications to Network Rail                       

                Strong analytical skills                         

                Good presentation and communication skills                         

                Ability to work collaboratively at multiple levels of seniority both internal and customer facing                         

                Build, manage, and track a detail test and transition plan and regularly report on progress

Timescale: This role is required to be fulfilled with immediate effect.

Education: Bachelors' Degree.

Experience: 5 to 7 years.
