With a life span of over 20 years, Java shows no indication of slowing down. As of 2017 Java held a whopping 13% majority share of the market, but what does that mean to you? Jobs! Java is the most in-demand language, so why not keep reading?

This organisation is a UK leader in large scale digital solutions who are looking to hire skilled Java Developers engineers of all levels. The roles are part of an enormous recruitment drive aimed at improving the way they deliver content to their enterprise customers.

The roles are technically UK-wide and will see you join an embedded engineering function tasked with putting software engineering and professionalism at the heart of delivery. In terms of customers, you will work on-site with enterprise customers to achieve their digital transformation. Not only will these projects include collaboration with other talented engineers, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects. Giving you the chance to have exposure to a broad arsenal of technology.

In terms of requirements, the ideal candidate would be able to offer a range of skills. However rather than just regurgitate the Job description, the client has highlighted to me some key skills they are looking for.

Java - My client is looking for those not only passionate about object orientated programming. But also keen on working with other talented engineers to widen your expertise. Importantly you will be operating with the latest and greatest - JAVA 8.

Spring/Micro services - Due to the enterprise nature of my clients work collaboration between one another is needed to exceed the client's needs. As a result Microservices allows developers to work autonomously and make decisions quicker. Therefore experience in Microservices would be beneficial.

Eager to learn new skills - My client prides themselves on being able to deliver on award winning T training. Learning new skills and technology keeps us keen and adaptable. Which ultimately gives you wider career opportunities.

In terms of culture, you will struggle to find somewhere better. Year on year my client invests thousands into training their employees from the latest and greatest tech to leadership skills. Importantly, this is available to all. Which gives you the chance to cross-train and work on them technologies you have been itching to implement, for example a direct route into DevOps is one of the many further opportunities available. In addition you will have the opportunity to attend conferences, support tech meetups and take part in hackathons.

They offer a base salary of up to £75,000 (DOE) as well as the opportunity to work remotely when not on-site. In addition pension, healthcare and food expenses.
