SQL DBA is required by prestigious organisation in their state-of-the-art Farnborough offices.

As the SQL DBA, you will be joining the established Application and Database team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day operation, performance and integrity of the SQL Server database estate. As part of the role you will be supported in the development of your working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, its associated technologies and any other database systems that are required by the business.

You will be passionate about data, be knowledgeable in emerging technologies, which will allow you to play a part in moving the business forward.

Essential Skills for the SQL DBA:

* Hold or be eligible for SC clearance

* Strong knowledge of SQL Server (3+ years)

* Experience in T-SQL

* Commercial experience of SQL Server 2008R2 or above

* Knowledge of High Availability and Disaster Recovery Concepts

* Genuine interest in BI and emerging technologies

* Positive can do attitude

* Strong communication skills

* Previous experience of working in an Agile environment

Desirable Skills for the SQL DBA:

* Experience in SSAS

* Experience in SSIS

* Experience in SSRS

* Defence industry experience
