Save the Children International are currently recruiting a Product Owner for our London office, to take responsibility for the development of a new system.

We are currently designing and developing an online Project Management System (PRIME - Programme Reporting, Information Management and Evidence) to be used globally across Save the Children offices. It will be Save the Children's core business system for managing our beneficiary-facing projects. It will comprise:

* End-to-end Project Management functionality,

* Monitoring, evaluation and accountability tools,

* Business Intelligence tools, including management dashboards and reporting.

The post holder will be part of the PPM PRIME project team during the development and deployment of PRIME (2018 - 2021), and thereafter part of the Project Management function, in the International Programmes department.

The role will:

* Be the Product Owner for PRIME

* Lead the strategy and management of future developments of PRIME in accordance with the relevant governance bodies, IT strategy, evolving business practices and stakeholder priorities in order to ensure continued relevance and effectiveness of the PRIME system

* Provide leadership and business expertise for the interaction of PRIME with key business processes and inform the design of PRIME with our Award Management System (AMS), Financial System (Agresso) and other Save the Children IT solutions

In order to be successful you will bring/have:

* Strong experience in NGO project management and/or monitoring and evaluation (M&E) and, in particular, the systems used to support project management and M&E processes (including high and low tech solutions)

* Experience of being a Product Owner in the context of an Agile Scrum IT project

* Experience in the deployment of IT systems, in particular to field offices in developing countries

* Experience in the design and delivery of face to face and online trainings

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex issues to both staff and peers

* An energetic, flexible and proactive approach with the ability to work both independently and cooperatively within a team setting and across teams

* Ability to challenge and negotiate assertively and cooperatively with senior staff

* Solid skills in Microsoft applications. Experience managing content on intranet type systems a plus Demonstrable commitment to equal opportunities and awareness of what constitutes good practice

* Ability to travel up to ~25% of the time to member head offices and Save the Children International centre, regional and country office staff, occasionally to remote and insecure locations

The salary range for this position is £50,000 - £55,000 based on experience, in addition to a benefits package including a contributory pension and 30-days of annual leave plus public holidays.
