IT Support Administrator

On behalf of my client, I am seeking to recruit an IT Support Administrator to join the company's talented IT team in order to support the current skill set. I am seeking a 1st level person who has experience in using Microsoft Office applications and knowledge of SharePoint 2010 or 2013. In addition, the ideal candidate will have experience of operating help desk software and can bring this knowledge to the Manchester based team.

Duties of the IT Support Administrator:

* Carry out daily job requests as directed by the IT team

* Support IT staff with day to day administrative tasks

* Support and monitor job enquiries through the IT Helpdesk Richmond Systems and potentially deal with 1st line requests such as password resets

* Log, update and resolve incoming support issues in a timely manner

* Administer and create staff swipe cards when necessary

* Replace, when necessary, printers/photocopier toners/ ink and maintain supplies

* Carry out regular inventory stock checks and maintain an ordered stockroom

* Help with updating and editing SharePoint web pages, add folders, adding links

* Contact external sub-contractors and suppliers for basic support

Requirements of the IT Support Administrator:

* 3 GCSE (or equivalent inl. English and Maths

* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

* Experience of SharePoint 2010 or 2013

* Experience of operating help desk software and/or administration systems

* Experience of working in a customer support helpdesk role

* Ability to work unsupervised and to deadlines

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills

* Strong customer service and customer facing skills

* Be able to multi-task and work in a busy environment

* Good team player

Desirable:

* IT A level or BTEC equivalent qualification
