VB.NET Senior Developer - Leicester, Leicestershire

£50K - £60K basic + bonus, Pension and other great benefits

VB.NET Developer to join our clients development team supporting all areas of there E-commerce & Point of Sales (EPOS) applications in the UK & US.

The job role will require covering all aspects of the development life cycle, from requirements gathering to post Go-Live support.

Key skills:

          Solid VB.NET working experience as a developer is a MUST.

          Working knowledge with SQL Server

          Retail sector experience

          Development of tiered architecture systems

          Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

          An agile approach to work and comfortable at multi-tasking

          Excellent planning, organisation and prioritisation of workload

          An appreciation of internal customer needs and an ability to manage expectations

          Professional approach and attitude

          Good time management skills

          Flexible and adaptable to change

Responsibilities:

          Involvement in the full development life cycle, as well work with other members of the team and the Lead Developer in order to achieve agreed objectives.

          Ensure deployments to the production environment are pre-tested, as low risk as possible, out of key operational times and are co-ordinated with the relevant business units.

          Endeavour towards error free development deployments.

          Working with internal business customers to determine/agree their requirements, ensuring they are met and are in line with IT strategies and standards.

          Canvas for feedback, after any service is provided, implementations or significant changes, to determine how performance and process can be improved in the future.
