Lead Data Scientist

Salary - up to £80K + Equity + Excellent Benefits

Data Scientist (Python, R) - We, a heavily backed and rapidly growing tech start-up, are seeking an experienced Data Scientist to come on board and hit the ground running building the new functionality for a greenfield project. The successful Data Scientist will be exposed to a huge data-set, where it will be your responsibility to drive value from this data.

You, as the Data Scientist, will:

* Be the sole Data Scientist with a scope to expand a team from the ground up.

* Analyse a large growing data set based on customer behaviours

* Build on the data infrastructure and stack, making sure all the necessary data is collected and identifying new/additional data sources where applicable

* Work alongside a Data Engineer and a wider product team

The Data Scientist will be at the forefront of decision-making and the company vision to add value to the core product. Productising new features and identifying growth opportunities in the business are also at the clutch of the Data Scientist.

Commercial experience with Python/R would be beneficial for the Data Scientist coming into a position where you will be expected to work with a high amount of autonomy. There is also scope for the Data Scientist to progress to a more ML/AI R&D approach to the business.
