IT Technical Services Analyst - Award Winning e-Invoicing Software (Windows Server and Desktop OS)

The IT Technical Services Analyst role:

This is an all-round IT role involving scoping, building, delivering, implementing and supporting scanning and data capture systems. You will be working to agreed specifications and financial constraints, within a small team, making a big difference, benefiting high profile Customers.

Whilst working on customer projects, specific duties and responsibilities include:

Software installation, configuration and administration of :

+ Windows servers and desktops

+ 3rd party Corporate applications

+ SQL Server

+ Bespoke components

Acting as primary technical contact for the project:

+ Working closely with the Project Manager to provide timely updates on progress and escalate any issues accordingly

+ Working with stakeholders to gather any additional requirements and translate them into deliverable solutions

+ Liaise with team members, commercial partners, customers and other stakeholders

+ Desktop and Scanner hardware installation and configuration at customer sites

+ Develop test scripts and scenarios for the systems and any associated changes

+ Produce technical documentation

+ Travel to customer premises to carry out on-site installations, end-user training and assistance.

+ Provide first-line support during UAT phases and second-line support after go-live (majority of which can be carried out using a remote connection)

Naturally the role involves an amount of customer facing, either through remote support, project meetings and on-site visits.

In addition to delivering customer projects, the role also involves inward-facing project support and delivery. This includes:

+ Assist in the continual development and management of internal IT systems and the Managed Service Centre.

+ Installation and configuration of hardware (servers, desktops, printers, communications infrastructure etc.)

+ Produce reports and documentation for internal systems

Hours/Benefits Package

This role is full time 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday, alternating shifts between 8.00am - 6pm with a 1 hour lunch break. Annual holiday entitlement is 25 days + bank holidays. The company operates a Private Health Care Scheme and Pension Scheme which would be available on satisfactory completion of probationary period.

Essential Skills/Experience:

+ IT related qualification/degree is preferred (BSc Computer Science)

+ Experience of Windows Server and Desktop OS support and administration

+ Awareness of corporate software and systems

+ Ability to learn and work with bespoke systems

+ Experience working in a customer facing or client support role

+ Experience of working on client projects with timeline and budgetary constraints

+ Ability to work off own initiative, prioritise own work-load and work with minimal supervision

+ Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and external contacts

+ Ability to work well under pressure

Desirable Skills/Experience:

+ Document Management / Processing Systems

+ Scanning and Data Capture Systems/OCR

+ .Net Exposure (C#, VB, ASP)

+ SQL Server / T-SQL / SSIS / SSRS

+ VB6 / VBScript

+ Exposure to XML

+ Awareness of Web Services

Beneficial:

+ Experience working with and/or integrating with Financial/ERP Systems

Additionally, you must be a team player with the ability to work to tight deadlines. You should also be highly motivated with plenty of initiative, as well as being able to think laterally in your approach to problem solving.
