The Role

We’re seeking a knowledgeable Information Security Manager to provide expert advice on, the selection, design, justification, implementation and operation of information security controls. You’ll proactively manage ICT service risks, acting as the Responsible Officer for Corporate ICT risk management, negotiating with the Corporate Risk Management team and respond to audits.

You will develop management strategies to maintain the confidentiality and relevant compliance of information systems, whilst investigating and reporting on any breaches in security. Alongside this, you will review new business proposals and planned technical changes, providing specialist guidance on security issues and implications.

About you

To be successful in this role, you’ll have knowledge of project management principles and practices and their application in a large organisation. You’ll have a strong understanding of ICT Business Applications and implementing a major technical system.

Your awareness of the technologies used to protect and secure the perimeter of the organisation including firewalls and intrusion detection systems will mean you’ll be able to investigate and report on any breaches in security, making recommendations on action arising. A commitment to service delivery and total quality management across the organisation as a whole should also be demonstrable.
