Electrical Site Engineer:
The work location is Gatwick for an initial 12 months contract.
Pay rate is between £300 - 400 per day.
There will be a mixture of day and night shifts - Days: 07:30 - 17:00 / Nights: 19:30 - 05:00.
Qualifications.
* HNC or degree in a related engineering discipline.
* BS7671:2008
* CSCS
Key Activities:
* A good understanding of design processes and the implementation of the design onto an operational site.
* Assist with the technical detail required within method statements.
* Inspection of installed plant and documentation prior to setting to work and commissioning.
* Assist design engineers working on site.
Key Responsibilities
* To ensure your own safety and the safety of others at all times by working to the Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental policies.
* To proactively report unsafe conditions, unsafe acts and near misses and to become part of the extra ordinary safety culture.
* Understand the scope of work and assist the Design Team with the presentation of Workpacks to the Site Team.
* Understand the impact of Workpack updates and communicate these to the Site Manager and Supervisors.
* Manage the communication of Technical Clarification Reports between the Design Team and Site, discussing potential impacts with the Site Manager.
* Collation of issues from shift reports for all disciplines and allocation to the required members of the project team for resolution.
Candidate Requirements
Experience of the following is desirable: -
* Knowledge of electrical installation practices and safe systems of works.
* Use electrical, network (ASi/ProfiBUS) and system test tools.
* Performing similar roles in airports, logistics or materials handling.
* Working within an ISO 9001 environment.
* Use of the MS Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
* Knowledge of PLC based control systems (typically Rockwell/AB, Siemens/S5, S7, Schneider/Modicon)
* Electrical drive setting to work and configuration.
