Network Engineer
£32,000 + £5,400 Car Allowance + Extensive Benefits Package

Cisco Solutions, Switching and Routing, Cisco Smart Collectors, Checkpoint and Unified Comms and would be beneficial if you have experience in one or more of the following - Meraki, Huawei, HPE, Fortinet, Aruba and Aerohive.
Revered privately owned networks solutions and services provider are seeking a Network Engineer with an excellent service ethic and customer focus.
In this role you will work with this clients Project Management Office and Implementation Teams to provide new services to customers across the UK.
* Typically, these are half to full day implementations
* Very occasionally they may require an overnight stay
* Responsible for the implementation of Cisco Smart Collectors for new and existing clients
* Responsible for collating Collector output and report generation
Your remit will also involve the delivery of customer solutions providing Technical Support to Channel Partners, End-User's and key stakeholders with market products and technical services. Using your consultative DNA you will position yourself to deliver professional technical support as well as sound LAN/WAN technologies that meet business requirements.
Cloud Hosting, Connectivity, Enterprise Routing and Switching, Unified Collaboration, Security, and Monitoring. Typically, people carrying out this role will hold some form of technical qualification i.e. CCNA/CCNP
Responsible for excellent Technical Support you will require an understanding of:
* WAN technologies including: Leased Lines, Carrier Ethernet, EFM, xDSL.
* technologies including Edge, Access and Data Centre
* Cisco R&S technologies: ASR9000 /ASR1000 switches, ME3600 Metro Ethernet switches
* Cisco 6500, 3700, 2900 and 800 series routers. Cisco Nexus, Cisco 37xx, Cisco 45xx.
* Security such as Firewalls and Intrusion Detection
* WLAN, UCS, SIP, VOIP
* Vendor experience with Huawei, HPE, Fortinet, Checkpoint, Aruba, Aerohive and Meraki products
* Solid understanding of networking protocols including MPLS, BGP, OSPF, VPLS, VPNs, and QoS
Working in a Technical Assistance Centre
When not booked on implementation or Smart Collector work at customer premises the Customer Support Engineer will be office-based working alongside members of our TAC.
* Provide telephone support to our customers regarding technical queries/faults.
* Where necessary to visit customer premises to diagnose or resolve an issue.
* Dial into customer units if possible, in order to diagnose/rectify problem.
* To adhere to department and customer SLA's.
* Prioritize calls in line with maintenance cover.
* Alert Team Supervisor of pending maintenance visits, along with potential escalations prior to Service failure and SLA breech
Highly Desirable Qualifications will include:
* CCNA-Wireless, CCNA-Security, CCNP, FCNSA, CCSA, FCNSP, CCSP or CISSP
