IT project/Programme Managers - Public Sector - London/Leeds/Newcastle - 6 months+
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced IT project Manager and for an IT programme manager to join a government organisation in central London.
The project manager will be responsible for the overall co-ordination, implementation and delivery of the allocated Digital projects to time, cost and agreed specification.
The Programme Manager is responsible for successful delivery of the required programme outcomes, the establishment of appropriate governance and assurance, monitoring progress, managing risks and issues and ensuring business readiness for change, whilst ensuring that dependencies between projects are managed effectively.
Project Manager requirements
Essential:
*APM Practitioner/Professional
*Strong track record of IT Project delivery
*Demonstrable knowledge and experience of applying blended IT delivery methods to achieve project outcomes.
*Practical experience of IT project management techniques and tools.
*Experience of managing a range of small to medium size organisation wide IT projects.
*Proven experience in people management, strategic planning and risk management.
Desirable:
*Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner/Advanced Practitioner (MSP)
*Knowledge of Agile delivery methods
*Knowledge of ITIL
Programme manager requirements
Essential:
*APM Practitioner/Professional
*Strong track record of IT Programme management, directing the delivery of multiple complex IT change programmes
Desirable:
*Managing Successful Programmes Practitioner/Advanced Practitioner (MSP)
*Knowledge and experience of Tupe considerations when transitioning IT services
*ITIL certified
