Senior Java Developer - Prague

Your contribution through the role

* Join the agile team, who is mainly responsible for building and improving the trade system

* Aid in the delivery and advancement of new features and functionalities to the core systems.

* Contribute to architecture and design decisions.

* Collaborate with the end users to understand issues/feedback and incorporate these towards solutions.

* Add to the continuous enhancement of the processes and the system.

* Use state of the art tools and technologies to help design and implement the extremely efficient DevOps process.

Your potential skillset

* Experience with core Java skills including: Generics, Collections, Multithreading, I/O, Streams and JDBC.

* Strong capability in regards to reading, writing and debugging multithreaded Java code.

* Knowledge of relational databases (potentially Oracle DB).

* Receiving satisfaction when understanding complex problems and creating solutions.

* Understanding of technologies supporting Java development and deployment Spring, Maven, Xml, etc.

* Understanding of enterprise design patterns.

* Experience of using Continuous Integration.

Something extra you could potentially contribute

* Familiarity with Linux shell scripting and/or Python.

* Understanding of Oracle Coherence and related relevant experience.

* Experience with C# / .NET or HTML5/Angular.

* Knowledge of messaging platforms such as MQ and Solace.

* Hibernate.

* Protocol buffers.

* Messaging middleware (ACE, Solace, MQ).

* Development tools including: IntelliJ IDEA, Eclipse, Git/BitBucket, Maven, TeamCity, Nexus, JUnit, Nolio, Python, etc.

* Linux (on servers) and Windows (mainly on desktops).

Technologies we enjoy exploring

* Cloud (AWS and internal cloud).

* Containers (Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift).

* NoSQL databases (MongoDB).

* ElasticStack (ELK).
