We require an experienced Delivery Manager to work in the government/education sector, working across two alphas - building service prototypes and testing with users and demonstrating that the service is technically possible.

Key Requirements:

The Delivery Manager supports the Product Owners (assigned by the sponsoring business unit) and is a servant leader to the team.

The Delivery Manager will be responsible for:

-Embedding agile ways of working/ceremonies (stand-ups/sprint planning/sprint review/retrospectives/kanban/show & tells)

-Build and maintaining teams, ensuring they are motivated, collaborating and working well

-Identifying obstacles and help the team to overcome them

-Facilitating and tracking team risks/dependencies

-Helping team team focus on what is most important to the delivery of products and services

-Encourage and facilitate continuous improvement of the delivery team

-Coach and mentor both team members and others to apply the most appropriate agile and lean tools and techniques

Preferred experience:

-Knowledge and experience of working to GDS Service Standards and contributing to GDS service assessments

-Experience of working in government/education sector

-Experience of delivering complex digital projects

-Knowledge and experience of Agile project management and working practices (SCRUM/Lean/DSDM/APMG)

-Knowledge and experience of collaboration and project management tools, such as Slack, Trello, JIRA, Confluence, VISO.
