SQL DBA, Azure, Senior Consultant

A London-based IT Consultancy are looking for a SQL DBA Senior Consultant.

The role will be based in their London office, with some travel to client sites in England, and run for an initial 6 months contract, with potential for extension.

Technical skills required:

-Azure

-SQL Server

An in-depth understanding backed up by hands-on experience of:

-SQL Server architecture / data estate design and modernization, including Azure Cloud

-Replication including multi-site

-High availability set-up and configuration

-Sizing and performance tuning

-Licensing

-Relational database design

-Data warehouse design ideally using Kimball methodology and associated ETL using SSIS

-All aspects of reporting, analytics and business intelligence including SSRS, Power BI stack and integration with SharePoint

-Knowledge of Master Data Management (MDM) and Data Quality Services (DQS)

-Administrative functions including backup / restore, migration, security setup and server hardening
