What it's about
We are looking for an experienced Networks Manager to lead a team of experienced engineers in the support, provision and management of Cambridge Assessment’s network infrastructure. As the Networks Manager, you will deliver strategy and direction that will help build on Cambridge Assessment's technology delivery capabilities.
What you'll be doing:
Leading a dynamic and highly-experienced team of network engineers, including their deliverables, well-being and career progression.
Managing and owning day-to-day support provision for all network services including switching & routing, wireless, connectivity, firewalls, load balancing.
Creation of policies, procedures, standards and roadmaps for Network technologies.
Providing expert advice to Senior Management on technical capabilities of network technologies.
Handling escalations from customers and senior management with urgency, openness and clarity.
Providing technical support by resolving incidents, problems and service requests.
Participating in and leading projects to implement new technologies.
Gaining experience in the latest on-premises and public cloud technologies in a large scale environment.
What we’re looking for
An experienced and proven leader.
Ability to organise team deliverables, manage stakeholder expectation and motivate your team to achieving goals.
A confident and clear communicator who is comfortable operating in a range of business and technical environments.
You will be happy challenging assumptions and finding creative solutions to problems.
A background in supporting large scale datacentre and campus networks and be able to demonstrate experience equating to CCNP level.
You will have a primary skill set in Cisco networking and security, Cisco wireless, Checkpoint firewalls and F5 load balancers. Awareness and experience of virtualisation, storage, Windows and Linux would also be beneficial.
