The Supply Chain Planning Manager will support the Supply Chain Planning operating model in the pharmaceuticals Global headquarters in Dublin south. The scope of the position is to lead and support new product introductions and ongoing revenue generation for all products within the remit of the Global supply chain team. Providing support to the planning team for SAP enhancements is also part of this role.

The successful candidate is responsible for converting the consensus forecast into production plans that provide satisfactory distribution centre inventories and incorporate effective contingencies for appropriate risks and initiatives.

Additionally, they will have responsibility to ensure that the planning and execution of manufacturing, filling and packaging at external contract organisations meet the production requirements from a quantity and timing perspective.

Responsibilities

Co-ordinate primary and supporting production planning activities to ensure timely release and availability of intermediate and semi-finished product for on-time shipment based on the Master Production Schedule and the Distribution Plan.

Communicate production requirements to manufacturing partners and supporting departments, identifying any production and/or material constraints that may impact execution of plan.

Acts as focal point for resolving Product Supply issues that might occur during normal operations.

Ensures Planning parameters are accurately in line with business process and are maintained in a timely manner.

Ensure the integration and alignment of the various detailed production schedules with the MPS and ERP system.

Implement Production Planning Routines to ensure manufacturing partners are in line with MPS requirements and MPS is met. (Data base maintenance, Timely Order placement in line with agreed Lead-times, order scheduling / rescheduling based on MPS changes, Management of order lines to support customer requirements)

Works with subject matter expects and stakeholders to ensure that the systems and processes are in place to support S&OP, rough cut and detailed capacity planning, scenario planning, material requirements planning, translation of requirements to operational supply plan, month end reconciliation and budget/cost/spend analysis.

Education and Experience

Primary degree in science, engineering or supply chain management.

Minimum of five years direct experience in a Supply Chain Planning role, preferably in a pharmaceuticals or biotech manufacturing organisation.

Experience in ERP systems required, SAP highly desirable.

Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Project software required.

PICS certification (CPIM, CRIM, and CSCP) preferred.

Proficient in Operational Excellence, Lean Process development, Six Sigma tools and techniques is desirable.

Working knowledge of GMP/ GDP requirements.
