Role: Senior Delivery Manager

Duration: 6 Months

Location: Newcastle

Rates: Market Rates

The successful candidate will undergo a BPSS check before attending site

Exciting opportunity within one of the largest Public Sector clients spanning one of the biggest customer bases in the world. The candidate will take full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation and satisfactory completion of medium-scale projects (typically with direct business impact and firm deadlines). Identifies, assesses and manages risks to the success of the project. Ensures that realistic project plans are maintained and ensures regular and accurate communication to stakeholders, consistent with the methods in use (agile, waterfall, etc.).

* Excellent leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills

* Highly experienced line manager, with performance management skills and knowledge. Experience of managing change in a technical team.

* An excellent communicator - via the written and spoken word. Comfortable speaking one-on-one and in front of small and large groups alike.

* A passion for helping system engineers and developers go faster by adopting and promoting an agile mindset.

* Extensive experience in developing and leading IT delivery staff in a large, complex IT environment

* Demonstrable experience in leading multiple teams across multiple locations.

* Experience with DevOps and Agile Delivery Frameworks.

* Experienced with Agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban, etc) and using tools to assist these methodologies such as Confluence and Jira.

* Experience managing usage of Development and/or Test Automation tooling and processes - such as Sonarcube, Selenium Web-driver, SoapUI, Cucumber etc.

* In-depth experience of TDD and BDD.

* Experience of developing and testing solutions in Cloud environments.

* Has a deep understanding of how business processes are integrated with IT services and the challenges involved in doing so.
