Senior Business Analyst - Payments

Spring Technology's client, a public sector organisation, are currently looking to recruit a Senior Business Analyst for an initial 2 month contract based in Edinburgh on a rate of c.£425-475 /day (inside of IR35).

Responsibilities:

* Undertake stakeholder analysis and data analysis to help understand existing payments technology and processes, and design how they should operate

* Write user stories and appropriate test criteria for a payments prototype

* Produce functional requirements based on use cases

* Coordinate material for options appraisals for input into a business case

* Highlight compliancy issues around the design of the service with relevant UK legislation, and document foreseeable changes to this legislation given the UK's EU-exit

* Assist the digital team to design a payments service which is delivered as a shared service to the public sector in a value for money way

* Production of specific assets, e.g. service maps, process documentation

* Knowledge transfer to the digital team to ensure programme continuity

* Challenge constructively and act as a critical friend to achieve solutions that are fit for purpose

Requirements:

* Strong experience of business analysis in a business, policy or digital project environment

* Excellent relationship management skills working with key stakeholders in technical and business environments

* Experience of process mapping and business requirements gathering

* Demonstrable knowledge of shared payment services

* Experience of working within an agile, multi-disciplinary team environment, and ability to deliver iterative design components (including user journeys) to the development team

Desirable Skills:

* An understanding of compliancy/legislative issues around payment processes

* An understanding of the challenges of using Cloud infrastructures within the public and finance sector

* Detailed knowledge of systems which operate mobile payments, digital wallets, as well as insight into known evolutions of payment techniques which are linked to advances in technology
