LINUX INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER - 45k - MILTON KEYNES

The client

The role

As a Linux Infrastructure Engineer you will have a high customer focus being actively involved in the support and development of the service including: the resolution of support cases; live service monitoring and maintenance; new service provision and continuous improvement projects. You should have a good knowledge of security practices working in a regulated environment and the flexibility to work out of hours will be required, including on call.

Experience

* Support of large, complex, customer-facing platforms

* Commercial experience with Linux infrastructure

* VMware infrastructure administration

* Experience in monitoring and tuning various applications/infrastructure (Nagios, Observium, SNMP, ELK)

* Experience implementing and managing Linux systems and related software (bind/named, apache, nginx, haproxy, keepalived, yum repository management)

* Knowledge of scripting languages, e.g. PowerShell, VBScript, Bash

Specifics

The role will be based in Milton Keynes paying c£45 000 per annum. Other benefits include: 23 days' holiday, matched pension and optional extras (more holiday buy, life assurance, health care etc)

Normal working hours are Monday - Friday with flexibility to work out of hours (including on call) required.
