IT Support Engineer - 1st / 2nd Line 

Norwich, Norfolk (with some travel to customer sites)  

£22,000 - £25,000 DOE Plus Benefits including 20 Days’ Holiday + Bank Holidays (rising with service) 

As a respected and long established IT supplier, our client delivers IT infrastructures and network integration to SMEs. Due to continued success, they are now looking to recruit an IT Support Engineer to join their team.

Taking on a challenging and important role within the company, you’ll help our client to maintain their strong reputation for high quality service and technical expertise.  

As an IT Support Engineer, you will be tasked with providing 1st and 2nd line IT support to customers in line with service level agreements.  

Focusing on delivering great service at all times, you’ll provide a high level of support and systems guidance to both new and existing customers. Using your initiative, you’ll resolve complex technical challenges, diagnose and resolve any network issues and install customers' hardware and software. 

As part of your role, you will be required to undertake some travel to provide on-site support.  

Your other duties will include:  

- Liaising with customers both face-to-face and via the telephone  

- Reporting on problems and escalating any major incidents 

- Managing your own support tickets and assisting other team members when necessary 

Interested? To be considered, you will need:   

- Previous IT support experience  

- Experience with Office 365  

- An industry certification, such as the Microsoft MCTS, Comptia A+ or Comptia Network+  

- A full, valid driving licence  

- At a minimum, GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at grade C or above  

As an IT Support Engineer, you will be a customer focused team player with excellent communication and time management skills. The commitment to take ownership of problems and work without supervision is also key.
