We are looking for a skilled Engineer, with strong VMWare skills, Windows Server knowledge and overall Infrastructure exposure to join our growing team in Cambridge.
We provide a high quality infrastructure design and support service for a host of web based products and you will be responsible for identifying potential new technologies and technological options to improve the various systems.
RoleYou will be responsible for overseeing our web hosting infrastructureYou will be tasked with investigating and identifying ways to improve the technical architecture and processesYou will have an understanding of web security and will perform audits of the various web applications.You will be involved in deploying web applications and servicesYou will have an understanding of DevOps environments and knowledge of continuous deploymentSkillsIn depth knowledge of MS Windows systems, particularly Windows ServerBackground working with both web based environments and networksStrong VMWare knowledgeScripting skills (Powershell etc.)Knowledge of modern web architectures (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS)You will be reporting to the Site Reliability Manager directly and working within a small but innovative team where good Systems skills are paramount. You will have good exposure to enterprise scale applications as well as websites and will be confident within an Agile/SCRUM/Kanban environment.
