Principal Electrical Engineer - Rosyth - FTSE250 Global Organisation

A brand new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Electrical Engineer to join a FTSE250 Global Organisation based out of Rosyth. Working across a varied portfolio the role will be a focal point custodian within their discipline speciality

The individual will work within a small engineering team, reporting to the Electrical Engineering Functional Manager, and shall be required to provide technical support and leadership to a number of projects with specific responsibilities to include:

* Produce, review and approve calculations, analyses, drawings, models, design basis documentation and technical reports, in accordance with task and project requirements

* Assessing the implications of changes, concessions and queries

* Maintaining the engineering configuration, ensuring the overall design intent and integrity is maintained throughout design lifecycle

* Contribute to process improvements within the design lifecycle to deliver continuous improvements in quality, cycle time and cost

* Evaluate technical issues in order to develop proposals for investigations and/or solutions, including process improvements

* Provide support to the Project Manager for the planning, control and delivery of tasks and projects

* Support the identification of business opportunities and the preparation of bids, in area(s) of expertise, to facilitate the development of successful bids

* Provide help and direction to less experienced team members to support both their effective working, and their development

* Make engineering decisions within own sphere of responsibility and delegated authority

* Ensure required review, verification and approval of work is undertake

* Act as Technical Authority when authorised to do so by Chief Engineer or delegated authority;

In order to be considered you will ideally:

* Preferably degree qualified (HNC Minimum)

* Chartered member

* Will have relevant technical experience

* Preferably, will have nuclear experience, commercial marine or experience from a highly regulated industry
