Enigma People Solutions is excited to be recruiting a Principal Power Transmission Network Engineer for an outstanding organisation that has the ambition to change the world. Developing proven and new technology our client is building a new team in Edinburgh that will optimise and commercialise an innovation set to change existing electricity grid architecture.

Reporting to the VP Innovation UK you will have lead responsibility for control systems design aligned with our product road map.

You’ll thrive if you

Demonstrate reliability, transparency, open-mindedness, aspiration and rigour.

Are qualified to MSc or PhD level, with 10 or more years’ experience.

Have substantial experience of HV, MV and LV power transmission network analysis.

Bring operational experience including fault handling, contingency and allocation optimisation.

Have a working knowledge of FACTS devices, renewable energy and HVDC.

Have excellent communication skills, with the ability to bring others together and facilitate collaborative working.

Are comfortable working in a non-hierarchical organisational structure and enjoy the innovation that stems from decentralised control.
