Are you passionate about building centralised data assets within SQL warehouses? Do you believe in the power of data to discover underlying trends and relationships to answer business questions and drive decision making? Are you an experienced data analyst with excellent interpersonal skills, as well as good business understanding and expert technical data skills?

If the answer is yes then First Utility has a great opportunity for you to work in an agile, multidisciplinary environment where your work will make a difference to deliver more tailored services and a better experience for our customers. Working within our Data & Insights team, using Impala Hadoop, Microsoft SQL Server and Tableau, you’ll be building core fact tables and single versions of truth, as well as working with the business to reveal key insights.

What you’ll need to help make the best of the role

- Excellent ETL data manipulation/wrangling skills to convert raw staging data into processed tables within SQL data warehouses
- Strong exploratory data analysis skills with an inquisitive attitude to discover underlying trends and relationships to answer business questions
- Thorough approach to investigating data quality and sample bias
