PwC Augment is an exciting part of the business which provides skilled employees to many of the firm’s leading clients, primarily in the banking and financial services sector for business as usual and one-off projects. We are currently growing a technology capability to support these clients and we are looking for skilled Technical Architects who will support the execution of technology and change projects for our clients.

As projects are typically carried out on client sites, our team members work from both local and international locations for the duration of client engagements.

Defines the holistic enterprise wide architecture to address business strategy, problems, needs and opportunities. Provides the reusable standards, guidelines, patterns and frameworks to application development projects. Has extensive knowledge of architectural frameworks, methodologies, and tools. Applies essential, unifying concepts and principles of IT systems, their components, relationship to each other. Considers the environment and the principals guiding design, development and evolution of systems that include applications, platforms and enterprise system of systems.

Key Activities:

Establishes, develops and promotes standard architecture, patterns and frameworks

Works directly with the demand / portfolio organization to develop technology opportunities

Leads the complexity reduction agenda by driving compliance with standards

Working with the Bus, responsible for retirement of obsolete applications and technologies

Incorporates domain specific strategies into the future state BU app portfolio

Facilitates the effective integration of frameworks and corresponding processes with other related business and IT processes and patterns from an architectural standpoint

Leads / facilitates the creation of governing principles to guide information, technology and solution decision making for the enterprise

Oversees and is responsible for the development and maintenance of conceptual, logical and physical application architecture
