Junior Database Administrator - £23,000 - Leeds
I am working with a client who provide and support IT solutions which make the running of their business easier and more profitable. Managing documents, providing KPI's or reporting, they are looking for a Junior DBA to join their team in Leeds.
Job Purpose
The primary function of the Database Administrator is to ensure the successful conversion and installation of customer data, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.
Secondary to the above, the Database Administrator is to provide assistance for all SQL Database issues to all departments where required.
Main duties and responsibilities
Data conversion
* Write and maintain data conversion utilities.
* Onsite data installation and configuration.
* Data analysis and cleansing.
* Data conversion integrity.
* Customer liaison re. Data checking.
Development
* Database configuration
* Remote monitoring & diagnostics
* Assist Development/Support departments with existing issues
* Replication improvements
* Database backups & maintenance
* Database performance
* Data warehousing
* Creation of solutions to improve existing conversion & SQL maintenance processes
