Main Duties and Responsibilities

Project Management

*Undertake project management, using formal project management techniques, including scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting, risk, issue, dependency management, and change control

*Manage the initiation, planning and execution stages of projects within the overall plan, including multiple go-lives, data migration, integration, business change as well as the build and delivery of the new system and processes

*Contribute to project scoping, planning and structuring, involving colleagues appropriately to define realistic project scope and timescales, within the Programme plan

*Co-ordinate the work of the Project Team/s, particularly with regard to the effective management of priorities, including finance and resources, whilst maintaining the overall direction of projects

*Review and report progress against project plan and, within agreed tolerances, report/escalate any areas of concern to the Project and Programme Board(s) as appropriate

*Manage resource allocation within projects and assist the Programme Manager to manage resources requirements across the programme

*Ensure that the project team works within the standards defined within the workstreams, in accordance with programme-level strategies and processes

*Co-ordinate responses to documents and policy with the Project Teams

Stakeholder relationship management

*Monitor and manage day to day supplier relations

*Develop relationships with and work in close partnership with key stakeholders, especially workstream leads, project leads, project team members and the supplier

*Develop and maintain professional networks within and beyond the University to develop your own knowledge of sector good practice which will be of benefit to the programme

*Undertake professional training and development as may be required for the successful delivery of the role
