Software Engineer (SC Clearance Preferred) - 3 Month Contract - Malvern

My client is looking for a highly experienced Software Engineer for an initial 3-month contract based in Malvern with potential travel to Portsmouth when required. The role is full time on site, and the client can offer a competitive daily rate.

Job description/Person specification:

* We are looking to appoint an experienced Software Engineer to join an established, highly skilled and dynamic team. You'll be responsible for developing a desktop application for communications research and trials (statistics, data compression algorithms) based on existing in-house R&D

Knowledge, skills and Personal Qualities Required:

* C# Developer (with understanding of WPF)

* MATLAB (algorithms developed in this framework)

* Software development related documentation

* A demonstrable record of success delivered by the application of technical skills.

* A strong analytical and logical mind in order to present technical issues in a methodical and understandable manner.

* The ability to work as part of a team to draw rational conclusions and processes from multiple sources of technical data.

* Demonstrates a culture of continuous improvement and ownership.

Nice to have Skills:

* Experience of working in the Public Sector environment or shows commitment to working in the public sector on a long-term basis. Domain knowledge of the UK MoD and Installation Regulations (JSP480) would be beneficial.

* Experience in voice communication systems / military / aviation / air defence / air traffic
