Spring Technology's client, a public sector organisation, are currently looking to recruit a AV Technician for an initial 2 month contract based in Glasgow on a rate of c.£120-130/day (inside of IR35).

Responsibilities:

* Ensure that AV equipment required for the organisation's Events is properly deployed, configured and supported

* Working from the Events Planning system to ensure equipment for Events is setup in a timely manner

* Liaise with Event Directors and Presenters to ensure trouble free delivery of Event content

* Advise Event Management Team on equipment technical capabilities

* Working with the others in the AV/ICT Team as the first point of contact for AV/ICT support and service delivery

* Documentation of support issues and their resolution

* Liaising with users at all levels via voice communications, remote access and in person on-site to resolve issues

* Liaising with 3rd party equipment support providers

* When required, aid in the implementation of ICT systems, software, hardware and networking at all levels, and to aid in the development of appropriate documentation

Requirements:

* Experience working in an AV Technician role

* Familiar with AV equipment deployments, e.g projectors, PA Systems, sound mixing decks, video and voice conferencing etc.

* Some knowledge of conferencing systems and applications e.g Polycom, GotoMeeting etc.

* Proficient in the use of Microsoft PowerPoint

* Excellent team player who is committed and is able to work on own initiative when necessary

* Good knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems

* Some knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems

* The basics of Active Directory in a Microsoft Windows environment, e.g. user creation and management

* Experience having worked with and supported users in their use of Microsoft Office especially Word, Excel and Outlook

* Experience supporting PC and peripheral hardware

* Experience with remote support tools

* Experience with call logging and helpdesk systems

Desirable Skills:

* Understanding of LAN and WLAN networks and associated equipment

* Knowledge of AMX control systems

* Familiar with Turning Point or other voting/polling software
