We seek two customer focussed IT Service Managers to manage Service Delivery Vendors and internal stakeholders; one for Operations / Infrastructure Systems and the other for Business Systems / Applications. These roles represent an opportunity for you to become a key contributor in the IT Service and Partnership team.

IT, a key corporate function, is part way through a programme of aligning IT services, more closely supporting the Business Units and Corporate functions in meeting business demand, focussing on business critical activities. One such initiative is the new framework and governance in IT Service Delivery, building partnerships, defining and managing SLAs with Service owners and Vendors, driving value and best practice; We seek two customer focussed IT Service Managers to manage Service Delivery Vendors and internal stakeholders; one for Operations / Infrastructure Systems and the other for Business Systems / Applications. These roles represent an opportunity for you to become a key contributor in the IT Service and Partnership team.

Specific responsibilities will include;

                                                                                                                                             establishing and building relationships with key internal IT Stakeholders and external Vendors for either Infrastructure or Business Systems, ensuring SLAs and OLAs are in place to support service escalations,

                                                                                                                                             monitoring the commercial lifecycle of vendor partners to build successful "win win" relationships ensuring continuous improvement for a better service, also identifying cost savings,

                                                                                                                                             managing IT vendor risk, in partnership with the IT and Corporate Procurement teams,

                                                                                                                                             contributing to the IT budgeting process and investment planning,

                                                                                                                                             liaising with IT service functions and Change Managers to ensure services are maintained.

Interesting roles requiring a track record in Vendor/Account Management, strategic sourcing / procurement and Service Management in an IT or technology environment. With an absolute commitment to customer service and quality, you’ll ensure vendors and internal stakeholders align with company values and codes of conduct and offer a strong service culture for IT customers.

With a sound education, an IT or technology focus, and possibly Service Management certifications such as ITIL, you’ll have;

                                                                                                                                             knowledge of managing contracts and service deliverables,

                                                                                                                                             proven experience in chairing meetings and writing minutes, drafting presentations and presenting with an ability to read and understand data to make informed business decisions,

                                                                                                                                             some understanding of the Operations / Infrastructure or Business Systems / Applications landscape,

                                                                                                                                             some experience of supporting implementation of roadmaps to deliver new functionality as required.

Commercially savvy, with an understanding of costs on the business, softer skills will include a tenacious, participative style to drive for high standards, well developed communication skills with a clear, concise style of presentation to engage with stakeholders and vendors and build good relationships at all levels. You’ll have a disciplined, methodical and detailed approach able to plan and complete work to deadlines and produce effective documentation.

Ideally you should be living within a commutable distance of Rickmansworth; able to travel to other sites in the UK and internationally; with a flexible approach to hours of work and working patterns.
