Purpose Of The Job

Our Sales and Account Management (SAM) business is undertaking significant global transformation and is equipped with a dedicated SAM Transformation function that exists to transform change into opportunity, unlock value and propel growth. Our SAM Transformation team is focused on shaping ideas and building realities to drive business performance targets. We're bold, focused and open - if you are passionate about driving forward our SAM book of change, join us in bringing our transformation vision to life.

We're looking for a Communication Support Officer to work as part of our SAM Transformation team, primarily assisting the Narrative Lead in developing and executing narrative (including key messaging) and targeted communications outputs for SAM Transformation - including those for internal, external, industry and other stakeholder groups globally, regionally and domestically - as well as supporting cross-business group initiatives.

Working closely with Corporate Communications and counterparts in other Client business units and corporate functions, the Communication Support Officer, together with the Narrative Lead, will ensure that SAM Transformation narrative (including key messaging) and targeted communications are aligned with Client enterprise-wide initiatives and meet our customers' messaging needs.

Priorities

Strategic & Planning Aspects

* Support the Narrative Lead in the development and maintenance of SAM Transformation internal and external narrative (including key messaging) and targeted communications strategies and plans, in partnership with Corporate Communications, Marketing and Human Resources, to accelerate awareness, engagement, understanding, belief and actions by employees that reflect both the Client business and customer priorities.

* Work closely with the Narrative Lead to ensure that overall support is provided to senior leadership and business partners for internal and external communications programmes and initiatives.

* Co-ordinate SAM business communications with Corporate Communications, Human Resources and Marketing to avoid duplication and inconsistent messaging.

* Represent the interests of customers and Client leaders with business counterparts.

Co-ordination and Delivery Aspects

* Support the Narrative Lead to ensure that all narrative (including key messages) internally and externally is co-ordinated and communicated consistently and appropriately throughout the year; and refine as necessary based on stakeholder feedback.

* Co-ordinate and assist with the development and execution aspects of communications outputs via targeted internal and external channels and selected tools, such as edits to Intranet pages, collation of content for blogs, creative video storyboarding and editing, etc.

* Work closely with the Narrative Lead to implement appropriate channels and deploy tools for internal and external communications to deliver messages efficiently and seamlessly - where relevant, co-ordination, planning and execution may be required with Corporate Communications and/or Marketing, for consistency and to maximize impact.

* Understand the end-to-end employee and customer journeys, and embed them within the themes of SAM business communications.

* Support the Narrative Lead in serving their role as a key interface for aligning SAM and Client storylines, messages and communications across channels.

* Co-ordinate with Corporate Communications, Marketing and fellow Business Communications colleagues to ensure that all groups are aligned when dealing with external audiences, enterprise storylines and opportunities.

* Build and nurture a cohesive and efficiently operating partnership with Corporate Communications to represent and defend SAM's reputation internally and externally.

Project Communications

* Assist the Narrative Lead to clearly define communications requirements to enable Corporate Communications to develop comprehensive communication projects in support of key business strategies (from identifying initial business objectives and creating strategic plans to directing development of relevant editorial content that promotes key business unit themes and drives behavioural change).

Measurement and Monitoring

* Support the Narrative Lead with the management and reporting of metrics, which demonstrate the impact of communications to the Client business and customers.

* Assist with the responsible management of budgets (where required).
