Based in the Bedford a fantastic opportunity has become available for a Senior Power Electronics Design Engineer to join an exciting team focused on the research and development of HVDC and MMC topologies. This role requires a strong background in power electronics and high-Power converter operation (1MW+).

Other responsibilities of the Power Electronics Engineer will include the design and development of Power Electronics building blocks / inverter stacks, running simulations in Matlab, Simulink and Plecs, perform worst case analysis, writing technical design reports and loss analyses.

The successful candidate will have a relevant degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering with a proven background in the following:

· HVDC.

· Modular Multilevel Converters (MMC).

· High voltage Power Electronics.

· IGBT's, MOSFET's.
