Infrastructure Architect Technical Delivery, VMWare, Citrix, DC, OS & SQL Upgrades

You will need strong detailed pure technical infrastructure architecture experience, be able to create detailed infrastructure designs and understand technical detail. Please ensure this is clearly and concisely detailed on your CV.

This role is specifically to work on a programme of lifecycle updates across the businesses UK infrastructure, including:

1. End of Life physical hardware refresh

2. Vmware platform upgrade

3. Citrix platform upgrade

4. End of life core switch replacement

5. IP Telephony replacement

6. Operating System upgrades

7. Microsoft SQL Server upgrades

8. Infrastructure components to business application lifecycle project

The Technical Infrastructure Architect role is responsible for the design of IT infrastructure to support the project requirements of the UK business, ensuring it is fit for purpose today and in the future. The IT infrastructure includes all the compute, storage, networks, databases and end-user devices ensuring that:

      •     technologies will meet both business and operational requirements

      •     technology strategies are appropriate and maintained

      •     Business technical standards are met

      •     capacity, resilience, disaster recovery and performance is designed in

      •     change to our technology infrastructure is effectively managed

The Technical Infrastructure Architect reports to the UK IT Infrastructure Architecture Manager.

The businesses infrastructure is part of a global infrastructure, with a global WAN, global AD and global Exchange infrastructure. Technologies in place in UK include:

o Microsoft Server and Red Hat operating systems, including network infrastructure services

o Microsoft Exchange Server

o Vmware ESX Server and Citrix application publishing

o Pure SAN and NetApp filers

o Cisco networking, Check Point Firewalls and BlueCoat Proxies

o Windows 10 client and SCCM management infrastructure.
