PMO Lead (IT Risk) - Insuretech

London

Looking to join an exciting InsureTech business part of a global insurer? Like the feel of a successful start-up with the reassurance and backing of a large group? The business in its growth has identified a need for an highly organised, proactive and tenacious individual to assist the company in planning, tracking and managing a portfolio of work that supports the firms risk and control mandate.

This role is responsible for the successful closure and oversight of all technology risk items. The co-ordination of all internal and external risk and control inspections and embedding of appropriate MI and risk governance framework. This is a wide and varied role which include a range of responsibilities, however in hiring this position the COO is looking for a candidate with the right attitude, ability to work with technology teams to gain information and deliver reports as well as being eager to learn. The role has plenty of autonomy as well as support from the Operations Director which the role will report into. The COO is very hands on within the business which will give you plenty of exposure to senior level people within the business on a weekly basis.

An understanding in technology and Risk as well as impeccable organisational skills is essential, however you may not have experience in all the below areas:

* Prepare reporting packs for the Risk management Committee (RMC) and act as secretariat at these meetings.

* Maintain the IT risk register to record all the potential IT risk being identified and manage all identified risk according to the technology risk management framework.

* Maintain and manage a database of technology risk related improvement actions, assigning owners and managing items to closure.

* Assist on the co-ordination of investigation of IT security incidents and tracking all Major incidents.

* Project managing multiple streams of work that focus on managing and closing down risk and control related items and gaps relating to IT security and operations.

* Coordinate all internal/external IT audit & regulatory inspections.

* Maintain the IT risk register to record all the potential IT risk being identified and manage all identified risk according to the technology risk management framework.

* Maintain and manage a database of technology risk related improvement actions, assigning owners and managing items to closure.

* Provide oversight of IT risk and security requirements for 3rd party service providers to assure that IT risk and security requirements are being managed.

* Support standardisation in risk management processes and procedures, and ensure adherence to company tools and applications. Maintain a library of responses to support the provision of timely Due Diligence and RFP responses.

This role has 2 clear progression paths to either a full project management role in the technology space or into a more specialise Risk officer. The business is growing quickly across Asia pacific as well as having an established UK office. As they are also part of a large insurer there are internal opportunities to move within the group.
