Role: SC Cleared Security Advisor

Length: 6 months

Location: Newport

IR35: Outside of IR35

rate: £400-560 daily

My Newport based client is looking for a security Advisor to join them for a period of 3 months initially with the following skills;

* Understanding of Government security standards

* Ability to carry out application and infrastructure and penetration testing

* To advise on opportunities for using secure cloud-based services, open source products and any implications of such an approach.

* Current understanding of virtualisation and cloud technologies including openssl, JWT, digital signatures and AWS security best practises.

* Ability to build automated testing to align with continuous integration

* Understanding of open source technologies, including web development frameworks and infrastructure

* Sound knowledge of the security architecture of cloud-based services, open source products. Ideally, CCP qualified Security Architect.

* Strong experience of utilising Security Testing Tools, both manual and automated

* Comprehensive understanding of Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP)

Desirable:

* Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

* CISSP or similar familiarity with security architecture

* Worked in Agile environments

Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take up to a minimum 10 weeks.
