Assurance Manager- £60,000-65,000- Sevenoaks

A leading defence and security consultancy are looking to bring in an experienced Assurance Manager to join their team based in the South East on a permanent basis.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

* Allocation of IAR and Design Certification roles to specific opportunities, working with Head of Technical & Product Assurance.

* Undertaking large DC and IAR reviews at bid stages and at all other stages of the programme lifecycle including deliverable reviews, to support project requirements.

* Assuring that bids and projects take account of legal and regulatory requirements, and take account of safety requirements.

* Provision of technical/engineering advice and guidance to IDT/ICT leads and Programme Delivery Directors.

* Supporting Technical Assurance and DC training.

* Contributing to continuous improvement activities within the Technical Excellence function.

Qualification/ Skills & Attributes:

* An excellent understanding of the engineering domain within at least one specific domain (Air and Space, MLW, CIT) and at least one business type (trials, advice, research, services, maintenance), for this role preferably with Weapons and Ranges expertise.

* Significant experience of technical leadership gained from practical engineering working in this domain.

* Experience of leading by example with a range of leadership styles.

* Degree qualified or equivalent professional development in a technical or engineering subject.

* Chartered Engineer status is highly desirable.
