Video Algorithm Engineer (C++) - London - £30,000-£70,000 + Benefits..This up and coming London-headquartered organisation who're well on their way to becoming market leaders within their industry are now looking to further enhance their already advanced software team...
Having developed an innovative approach to image and video compression that is driving major change in the encoding sector. There is now a requirement to strengthen the compression development team for high performance video processing.
The successful candidate will devise and investigate algorithmic improvements and take responsibility for their implementation in to products and interact with other development disciplines to create and integrate FPGA/software technology into the product portfolio.
Role Responsibilities:
Create novel methods for image analysis and processing in the field of video compressionSimulate, measure and visually quantify complex signal processing algorithms, in order to improve performance and add IP valueWork with existing codebases (primarily C++, but also C/Python/JavaScript) to add functionality and resolve issuesIntegrate with third party commercial and open source codebasesCreate clear, concise and verifiable technical specifications, APIs and integration guidesKey Skills and Requirements:
Exposure to algorithmic R+D, preferably in video processing and compression.Proficiency in C++Willingness to prioritise development activities in accordance with commercial prioritiesDesirable Skills:
Image processing, software engineering, or a closely related field, or industry knowledge to the same standard.A background in video processing or similar.Experience of one or more of MPEG 2, H.264, HEVC, VP9, AV1This R+D team is growing rapidly and this is an amazing opportunity to join an organisation who have huge aspirations to become the number 1 company in the world in their field...
On offer is £30,000 - £70,000 and this role can be fairly flexible in terms of being tailored to a Junior-Senior level Engineer which adds flexibility to the package both on the lower and upper end.
