A Solution Architect is required to work for the UK's Leading Engineering Support Services Organisation as part of their Land Division. Working alongside technical and sales teams and customers you will design solutions that meet the needs of the business within the Defence sector.
You will be responsible for designing and presenting solutions, through discussion, presentations, whiteboard workshops, proposals and diagrams. Leading the design, specification and selecting IT Solutions, you will consider functionality, data, security, integration, infrastructure and performance.
Maintain an awareness of business solutions such as Fleet/Asset Management, ERP, Business Intelligence and CRM and other relevant technologies that might support business mission
Develop and maintain a model of the divisions current and future IT systems architecture, integration and solutions roadmap
Work closely with the Project Managers, other Architects and Business Analysts to develop high level project definitions for implementation of projects.
Essential Skills
A successful background in analytics/development who has progressed into a professional senior role such as technical lead, team lead or architect for a major consultancy or system integrator
Experience of working with internal and external customers to define portals to access and visualise asset performance and works data.
Experience in leveraging asset related data in providing decision support, data visualisation and analysis.
Strategic business acumen and understanding of business strategy and ability to identify technology/digital systems to delivery that strategy
Experiencing in assessing a broad range of IT solutions and products
Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts to lay audiences. Some experience of with working with board level stakeholders.
Knowledge of Enterprise methodologies or TOGAF
This role requires the individual to hold or be able to obtain SC Clearance on acceptance of the position.
