Senior Application Support Engineer (C++ Python Perl SQL). Would you like to support complex electronic trading systems in a busy Front Office trading environment and deepen your knowledge of financial markets?

Global financial software house with in excess of 2,000 institutional clients is seeking a senior, hands-on Application Support Engineer. You'll pro-actively manage and support a highly transactional, business critical trading system, identifying issues and potential problem areas. Daily activities could include deploying complex in-house applications; managing incident resolution (from identification, working with the development team, communicating with the client through to delivery of solution) and developing tools to improve efficiency and ensure compliance.

You'll be based in modern, open plan offices with amazing views of the City.

Requirements:

*Experience of supporting real-time transactional systems

*Scripting skills (Python or Perl)

*Good understanding of C++ and basic coding skills (will consider other OO programming languages)

*Good SQL scripting skills

*Basic Network knowledge

*Natural problem solver with strong analysis and planning skills, keen to take ownership

*Excellent communication skills with the ability to form strong and effective working relationships

As a Senior Application Support Engineer you will earn a competitive salary (to £70k) plus bonus and benefits.
