Contract COBOL support developer - 6 Months - Wrexham

One of my clients, an industry leader in their field, are currently looking for a developer proficient using Cobol to join the business for an initial 6 month role supporting current internal systems starting from January.

The project centres on the support of their current system ranging from adding new changes / functionality, looking at support tickets, Database migrations and live system maintenance.

The ideal candidate would have previous experience working on:

* Cobol

* Database migration

* Maintenance / BAU experience

* Quickly understand an existing system

* React quickly to live issues

* Liaising with department managers

This is an initial 6 month contract with the potential for further extensions for the right COBOL support developer. The role would be based from their office near Wrexham.

My client are currently taking applicants for interviews next with an ideal January start date. This will be a one stage interview process.
