SAP FI-CO Functional Support Analyst

The SAP Functional Support Analyst (FI-CO) is a crucial role in the SAP AMS (Application Management Services) organisation and is responsible for the functional support, analysis, configuration and continuous improvement of the SAP FI-CO module to meet the business needs across cross divisional back office processes.

Working closely with our customers to deliver, maintain, troubleshoot and enhance SAP functionality, the FI-CO functional analyst adds value to the AMS organisation through their knowledge of the FI-CO module and knowledge of its integration with other modules (Logistics/PS/HR/Procurement/BPC).

* Provides specialist level functional and configuration support for the SAP solutions in the FI-CO modules of ECC 6 and Treasury.

* Sound configuration, support and business process knowledge of master data, GL, AP, AR, Asset accounting and Treasury.

* Sound configuration and support knowledge of cost element, cost centre, internal orders, product costing, profitability analysis and profit center accounting.

* Good understanding of configuration dependencies and integration points between separate functional modules of SAP (PS/TMS/Logistics/Procurement/HR)

* Work with the Service Desk and the AMS team to facilitate incident & problem resolution.

* Manage and create incident / work order reports or change programme plans for Finance or Treasury as required.

* Work with SAP and third parties to resolve software bugs where applicable.

* Perform break/fix analysis and recommend solutions for all Finance related processes.

* Participates in user requirements gathering, blueprinting & documentation designs.

* Ensure compliance to existing, and development of required data and reporting standards.

* Proactively engage with the Solution Leads/Design Authority to ensure the integrity, future design and change management of the Finance configuration/solution.

* Proactively drive data management, maintenance, control and accuracy.

* Support business implementations, patching and upgrades by sharing best practice support, testing and configuration skills.

* Provide excellent customer engagement with responding to customer incidents, requirements, problem resolution and process modeling.

* Ensure Service/Incident Management system, knowledge base and supporting documentation is updated and accurate.

* Conduct configuration changes to accommodate change requests/improvements.

* Assist in training activities and advice and guidance to the business

* Perform initial testing of incident/problem fixes, change request, enhancements, and new functionality.

* Keep abreast of SAP releases, enhancements/new functionality and perform application research.

* Participate in new functionality/enhancement assessments and make recommendations.

* Develops functional specifications and works with BASIS and ABAP teams/ resources to complete object development and testing.

Essential Skills

* A university degree or relevant experience in Finance or Information Management.

* 3 Years of hand-on SAP FI/CO support and configuration experience.

* Integration experience with Logistics, TMS, Procurement, PS and HR.

* Good understanding the RTR, PTP, TMS and HR Processes as it interacts with FI/CO as per the standard SAP process model.

This role requires the individual to hold or be able to obtain SC Clearance on acceptance of the position.
