A 1st Line Support Technician is required to ensure my clients IT operations are running smoothly, and providing an excellent level of service and support to users of IT services. This role will support an office move and in assisting in set-up of 350 desktop computers.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide First Line IT support to the company's staff.
* Diagnose and resolve technical issues as reported by users and automated systems, escalating to other IT team members where necessary.
* Setting up and installing PCs and other equipment in the new office
* Working with our existing 1st line Support Technician
* Fault-finding to laptops and desktops.
* Ensuring information in the IT Helpdesk system is accurate and up to date.
* Completing internal user moves including phones and network patching.
* Maintain equipment audits for all compute equipment.
* Checking the results of vulnerability and virus scans - Ensuring patches and updates are applied.
* Administration of the user life-cycle from new starter to leaver process as per HR procedure.
* Provide additional duties as required by the IT Support Manager.
* Good knowledge of the MS Office suite and its components. Office 365 experience an advantage.
* Good understanding of MS Windows desktop computing including networking technologies and troubleshooting:
* Windows desktop and operating systems
* Microsoft Office
* Microsoft Exchange
* Microsoft SharePoint
