Data Centre Manager
We are actively seeking a Data Centre Manager to join a leading blue-chip at their office in Hatfield, offering the chance to join the organisation at a very exciting time in its growth. In the role, the successful Data Centre Manager will provide the strategic vision for the Data Centre team, managing suppliers/stakeholders and have an overall view of the work and plans coming into the team. The Data Centre Manager will be the voice and face of the Field engineering team with external and external parties and partners, so it is important you are comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels.
Working as the Data Centre Manager, your role will include:
* End to end responsibility for the management and maintenance of all Datacentre white and grey space environments in Europe and across the globe.
* Leading the Data Centre power and space budgets, providing clear forecasts of requirement against capacity
* Maintaining the relationship, service and contracts with the 3rd party Datacentre providers.
* Handling vendor engagements for quotations and deliverables, ensuring quality is maintained.
* Performing service reviews with vendors
* Work closely with other technology and business service teams to understand and influence decisions dependent on Data Centre services.
To be considered for the Data Centre Manager position, you will need to demonstrate:
* Experience in a Datacentre Management role within an Enterprise scale environment.
* Previous exposure to implementing and configuring Datacentre monitoring solutions.
* A disciplined approach to Datacentre management through attention to detail and a demonstrable ability to build relationships with internal and external, technical and non-technical partners.
* An ability to understand complex technology solutions and communicate the solutions and strategies to achieve them in both IT and business terms.
