Network Engineer

One of our Reading based clients is seeking a Network Support - TOC Engineer to join their expanding team. You will be responsible for providing responses and resolution for incidents across the organisations platform covering network, cloud and UC. You will be responsible for the network focus to the team, responding to tickets raised.

You will provide technical service and leadership to maximise the teams' performance, helping with improvement initiatives, including system, process and technology changes.

All applicants must be able and willing to work on a shift based pattern.

As the Network Engineer your duties will include, but not limited to:

*Supporting the company's Technical Operations Centre, including fault diagnostics and resolution across the Network function

*Monitor all platform systems, raising tickets as appropriate and progressing to resolution

*Implement change requests

*Use the internal ticketing system, and other support systems to maintain record in accordance to ITIL standards

*Work with a number of teams to resolve hardware and software issues on the Network platform

*Technical escalation to Tier 3 support teams, as and when required

As the Network Engineer - TOC engineer, you will be required to possess:

*CCNA - with experience of implementation and troubleshooting of complex Cisco networking solutions

*Knowledge of troubleshooting Cisco EN level routers

*Previous experience with Cisco and Juniper Firewall experience

*Extensive data communications understanding and experience within an operation environment

*Previous experience with Cisco hardware and software troubleshooting with switching, routing and firewall platforms

*Strong understanding of layer 2 switching and layer 3 routing

*Ability to work on a shift based pattern
