Senior Portfolio Manager - Business Transformation - Surrey/ Hampshire - £60,000 - £85,000 + benefits

A leading security and technology consultancy are looking to bring in an experienced innovative and diverse Senior Portfolio Manager to join their team in Surrey/ Hampshire lead a number of projects and bring in diverse and innovative thinking and new approaches.

This is a very exciting opportunity as it's not your standard project management role and requires someone with a background in complex business transformation programmes.

The Role:

* Lead the delivery of a complex portfolio of projects leveraging modern Programme Management methods such as Agile, Prototype and Spiral delivery

* Coach, mentor and recruit a team of like-minded individuals who operate in the same way

* Customer leadership for all projects within portfolio in order to delight our customers through exceptional customer delivery

Essential Experience and Knowledge:

* Leadership; being able to establish the vision and direction for the portfolio (in line with the Research, Experimentation & Innovation strategy), to influence and align others towards this common purpose, and to empower & inspire people to achieve success.

* Integrity; being open, honest and doing the right thing. Keeping promises, admitting when I don't have the answer and when I have made a mistake.

* Communication; being able to effectively communicate as part of a two-way interaction, using a range of techniques, to ensure the received meaning matches the transmitted meaning.

* Stakeholder Management; being able to identify, plan and implement actions to positively engage parties with an interest in, or influence over, the programme outcomes.

* Change Management; being able to develop and enact a structured approach to organisational change in support of their vision, enrolling the impacted people to embrace the changes required to deliver the desired benefits.

Key Skills:

* Experience and evidence of successful delivery of programmes or complex projects.

* Experience of innovative project delivery using modern approaches.

* Strong commercial experience of innovative commercial models, including IP licensing and outcome based commercial approaches.

* Cross sector project delivery experience.

* A sound understanding of technology, science and engineering
