Instructional Designer - Instruction designer, e-learning designer, learning designer

London (Permanent - Competitive salary plus benefits)

My client, a market leading global entity, are seeking an Instructional Designer to design and create eLearning solutions. You will collaborate with the client and internal stakeholders to conceptualise, design and storyboard eLearning solutions that target learning objectives.

Core Responsibilities

* Consults with clients and subject matter experts (SMEs) to determine learning solutions and objectives.

* Reviews client requirements and source materials to determine commercial aspects including efforts and time frames.

* Collaborates with project team including Project Managers, Graphic Designers and Quality Analysts.

* Conceptualises and designs a wide variety of solutions for eLearning delivery.

* Proposes solutions that align with business objectives as well as commercial aspects at all times.

* Produces detailed storyboards of high written quality for multiple stakeholders.

Essential Skills/Experience Required:

* Excellent verbal and written English language skills.

* Ability to elicit, synthesise, and validate content from subject matter experts.

* Ability to conceptualise eLearning approaches suited to client requirements.

* Ability to create an outline that presents how all content will be sequenced and presented in the e-learning course.

* Ability to determine the breadth and depth of intended content coverage given instructional constraints.

* Ability to adhere to commercial aspects including costs and time frames.

* Ability to collaborate with project team in order to deliver course on budget and in time frame

* Ability to work with project team in different location and time zone. * Ability to meet deadlines, prioritise and deliver quality results in a time-sensitive environment.

* Ability to work with minimal guidance.

Desired Skills/Experience Required:

* Proven instructional design experience in the e-learning industry.

* Employs basic knowledge of development tools including Lectora and Photoshop

* Exposure to compliance/risk and regulatory topics within e-learning

* Ability to build and promote effective relationships between team members and other stakeholders (such as graphic designers, project managers)

* Ability to apply consistent standards and processes across all deliveries on a global basis.

* Ability to formulate elearning solutions including timeframes and estimated efforts

* Ability to manage several projects effectively and maintain standards of excellence in finished projects

* Exposure to global/remote teams across various time zones
