Job title: Avionic Systems Engineer

Location: Cheltenham

Salary: £35-£55 (DOE)

18 months initial contract

Key activities:

Requirements generation and management. Development of systems verification procedures and completion of verification test activities.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Core skills systems engineering, full development lifecycle experience,

* Systems requirements definition, management and validation,

* Systems integration - real-time embedded systems, hardware/software.

* Systems verifications - test procedure development, requirements to test traceability, unit based testing.

* Be comfortable reading, writing and implementing Low-Level Systems & High-Level software requirements

* To understand Embedded Software architectures and implementations, and their interfaces to systems and Hardware

* To understand hardware architecture and implementations, and their interfaces to systems level functions and software design,

* Be cognisant of internal (board/board or processor/peripheral) and external (unit to unit/network) data bus standards.

* Logical and innovate problem solving skills that can span systems/software/hardware, software bias and understanding of the Aerospace standard - DO178/C

Preferred skills:

* Aerospace industry domain knowledge:

* Be able to read and interpret schematics,

* Able to use an emulator for on chip debugging,

* Able to use COTS TE ('scope, bus analysers etc.) in lab environment,

* Happy to work in reuse environment, making efficiency decisions based on previously developed functions

* Tools (not all required) DOORS - requirements capture tool sysml - systems architecture definition Python - development/scripting language
