Senior Architect- Corsham-6 Months.

Minimum of SC Clearance required.

Job Description:

This role is for a lead applications architect to work closely with the customer to analyse their requirements and assist them with the implementation of their required solution. They will require knowledge/experience working with MOD in the C4ISR domain.

As well as working closely with the customer they will lead the team, providing an Iterative solution design based on limited information.

Role Purpose

The role holder may manage a small/medium design team. They are a competent design authority on larger or more complex solutions, demonstrating an understanding of the customer's business and commercial issues. They identify, design and deliver larger or more complex architectures, strategies and specific solutions.

Responsible for the design and communication of structures to enable and guide the design and development of integrated solutions that meet current and future business needs. Changes to service, process, organisation, operating model and other aspects may be required in addition to technology components, and solutions must demonstrate how agreed requirements (such as automation of business processes) are met, any requirements which are not fully met or, and any options or considerations which require a business decision. The provision of comprehensive guidance on the development of, and modifications to, solution components to ensure that they take account of relevant architectures, strategies, policies, standards and practices and that existing and planned solution components remain compatible.

Mandatory Skills Required:

Knowledge and experience of all of the following:

* Knowledge/Experience working with MOD in the C4ISR domain

* Requirements Analysis experience

* Highly Customer Oriented - Ability to work with and lead customer on site

* Applications Architecture and Design - Java, .Net or other programming language

* Web Applications/Services design and architecture (SOAP/REST and WSDL)

* ESB/SOA Architecture and Design/Development/Integration Experience

* Iterative solution design based on limited information

* Development Leadership/Management

* Leading highly effective teams - Making decision and working autonomously

* Willingness to work on customer sites, including travel
